I have been to the Claddagh several times. One of the reasons I like it, on occasion, is because of the atmosphere. The decorations, low lighting and fireplaces make it a nice dinner venue, especially during the long, cold winters. The food is as warming as the ambiance. I have found that most of the menu items are quite heavy and you may leave feeling a little more insulated then when you came in. However, it is a pub and traditional pub fare is typically valued by how well it goes down with an accompaniment of alcoholic beverages. Perhaps I am not the best to be giving a review since I a generally refrain from consuming spirits, but I can recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich if you are in the mood for something salty and sweet. And who doesn’t enjoy steaming hot, thick fries every once in awhile?
